A Word of Welcome

Elk River United Methodist Church (ERUMC) would like to extend a big welcome to all people wherever they may be on their spiritual journey. ERUMC is an inter-generational congregation with a call to heal a broken world by providing a welcoming environment, faith formation and programs for all ages, and supporting community organizations and missions at home and abroad. We look forward to your visit!

Sunday Service 9:00 am In Person or online.

Your First Visit
Worship:

Worship is on Sundays at 9:00 am. You can visit online or in the building. Please visit the 'In Person Worship' tab to ensure you follow the covid safety protocols.  Sunday School is held at 10:00 am on zoom kids age 3-5th grade. Fellowship with coffee and doughnuts is not currently meeting due to the pandemic.

Parking:
ERUMC has an ample parking lot with access from both Main St and 4th St. Follow the sidewalk along the building to the far set of doors. When you enter, you'll see the sanctuary doors just a few steps away.

Children:
Children are welcome to remain with you during worship. ERUMC loves children. A cry, whine, or laugh won't bother us a bit! It's all apart of the experience. Due to the pandemic, please bring your own activity bags, books and 'busy toys' as needed. A changing table is located in the lower level near the Nursery or in the upstairs restrooms adjacent to the fellowship hall. The nursery will not be open at this time and will be available during worship when covid restrictions are lifted.

What should I wear?
At ERUMC folks dress as they are most comfortable which means you will see some people dressed in their 'Sunday Best' and others in jeans or leggings.

Communion:
The sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st Sunday of each month. In the Methodist Church, we practice an open table, which means all who believe in Jesus Christ are welcome to partake. Regular and gluten free wafers are available. Grape juice is used in place of wine and distributed in individual single use cups. If you are viewing from home, you are invited to participate in communion at home.

Other helpful information:
As a guest, you are welcome to give during our time of offering; but please do not feel obligated; we are happy to have you as our guest.

God’s peace to you and we pray that your spirit will be enriched by your visit!
