Children, Youth and Family Ministry
Elk River United Methodist Church seeks to enrich the lives of children, youth and families in the church and surrounding communities. We value the use of age appropriate curriculum and Biblical concepts so that all people understand the love of Christ.
During the COVID-10 social distancing policies, all children, youth and family ministry has been moved to an online platform with the use of Zoom. Please email Amber at firstname.lastname@example.org for details or how to participate.
Sunday School will starts in worship at 10:00 am. After kid's time, students will be invited to Sunday School in the classrooms. On the first Sunday of each month, kids will stay in worship for the full time as we celebrate Holy Communion. The 2019-2020 school year will utilize Spark Activate Faith curriculum. Each classroom uses age-appropriate games, activities, and crafts to explore the Bible from Genesis to Paul's Letters.

Confirmation is designed as a three year program for 6th- 8th graders, though new students may join anytime. Confirmation is on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm.
2019-2020 confirmation year will include a strong focus on understanding the Bible using the STOP method. Students and their families will also engage in devotionals. Please contact us for more information.
High school youth group meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday mornings at 11:15. In addition to outings, the youth group will have discussion topics, games, and fun in a safe and inviting environment.
Elk River United Methodist Church has a rich history of participating in a service camp called STORM-Service To Others in Relational Ministry. During the week of STORM Camp, youth from around MN storm the community to perform service jobs of any kind, but often painting, light construction/demolition, and yard work.
